This itinerary is designed for wildlife enthusiasts, covering some of the most renowned parks of northern and central India. From royal palaces to tiger reserves, each stop combines history, culture, and nature. An extension to Corbett National Park can also be added if time permits.
Day 1: Delhi
Arrival in Delhi. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi – Jaipur (252 km / 5 hrs)
Drive to Jaipur, popularly known as the “Pink City.” Check into hotel.
Day 3: Jaipur
Full-day city sightseeing. Optional elephant ride to Amber Fort, followed by City Palace with its art, costumes, and armoury. Visit Jantar Mantar (observatory), Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), and explore Jaipur’s vibrant markets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur – Ranthambore (130 km / 2 hrs)
Drive to Ranthambore, a dry deciduous forest known for its majestic 1000-year-old fort. The park shelters sambhar deer, nilgai, boar, bear, panther, tiger, and a wide variety of birds.
Day 5: Ranthambore
Morning and afternoon jungle safaris in search of the tiger. Overnight at lodge.
Day 6: Ranthambore – Bharatpur (185 km / 4 hrs)
Morning game drive. Later drive to Bharatpur, one of the world’s finest bird sanctuaries with 300+ migratory species including Siberian cranes, storks, spoonbills, and pelicans. Birdwatching by rickshaw or boat (arranged locally).
Day 7: Bharatpur – Agra (1 hr)
Optional early birdwatching. Drive to Agra en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal “ghost city.” Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Agra – Overnight Train to Bandhavgarh
Morning visit to Taj Mahal (closed Fridays), Agra Fort, and Itmad-ud-Daula’s tomb. Evening train to Umaria in air-conditioned sleeper.
Day 9: Bandhavgarh
Arrive and transfer to jungle lodge. Afternoon safari in Bandhavgarh National Park, set amidst Vindhya hills and known for high tiger density. Other wildlife includes spotted deer, blackbuck, sloth bear, leopard, and varied birdlife.
Day 10: Bandhavgarh
Full day of jungle safaris and activities. Overnight in lodge.
Day 11: Bandhavgarh – Kanha (212 km / 6 hrs)
Drive to Kanha National Park, one of India’s best-managed reserves. Wildlife includes chital, barasingha, blackbuck, langur, jackal, gaur, wild dog, sloth bear, and tiger, with 200+ bird species across forests and bamboo groves.
Day 12: Kanha
Full day of jungle safaris and wildlife exploration. Overnight in lodge.
Day 13: Kanha – Jabalpur – Overnight Train
Morning transfer to Jabalpur for overnight train back to Delhi in AC sleeper.
Day 14: Delhi
Morning arrival. Sightseeing tour includes Jama Masjid, India Gate, President’s House, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15: Delhi – Departure
Day at leisure until transfer to airport for onward journey (hotel checkout at 12:00 hrs).

Day 13: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo (86 km). Stop at Pooh and Nako village by its serene lake. Continue to Tabo.
Day 14: Visit Tabo Monastery, renowned for murals and frescoes, often called the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.”

Day 17: Chhota Dara – Keylong (98 km / 5 hrs). En route stop for Bara Shigri glacier. Visit Khardong Monastery at Keylong.
Day 18: Keylong – Jispa – Sarchu (92 km / 4 hrs) via Baralacha Pass (4891 m) and Suraj Tal. Overnight at camp.
Day 19: Drive Sarchu – Pang – Leh (220 km / 9 hrs) crossing More Plains and Taglang La (5500 m), the world’s second-highest motorable pass. Overnight in Leh.
Day 20: Explore Leh’s monasteries: Shey, Thiksey, Hemis.
Day 21: Morning visit to Phyang and Spituk monasteries. Afternoon free to relax or explore Leh’s bazaars.
Day 22: Fly Leh – Delhi. Later sightseeing of Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, President’s House, Parliament House, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, Birla Mandir, and Lotus Temple. Overnight in Delhi.
