Rashtrapati Bhawan. This building was first built in the early 20th century as the imperial residence of the Governor General. It is now the official residence of the President of India and the Parliament House.In the heart of New Delhi, in the middle of a four-way intersection, stands the 42-metre-high
India Gate, which resembles an 'Arc de Triomphe'. The monument is inscribed with the names of more than 13,516 British and Indian soldiers who died on the North-Western Frontier during the Afghan War in 1919.
Jantar Mantar Built in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur, Jantar Mantar is one of the five astronomical observatories built by the king in northern India. Its striking combination of geometrical shapes has attracted the attention of architects, artists and art historians from all over the world.
